Course Content

Trains the learner to produce detailed engineering drawings of process plants with the use of Computer Aided Design Systems

  • Health and Safety requirements specific to the activities contained within Training Standards units
  • Read and extract information from engineering drawings and specifications
  • Identify and assess factors which may affect design briefs
  • Communicating design options
  • Complete chosen engineering designs in the specialist areas of structure, piping, mechanical and electrical and instrumentation.
  • Generate, evaluate and develop design options

The outcome of a Work-based training intervention is a trained worker to peformance standards.

Designed to provide a structured training route which can lead to VQ assessment.
